FairCom RTG is a modernization solution for COBOL applications. It breathes new life into your legacy application by transparently swapping out its built-in record management system with FairCom’s modern database engine for increased reliability, high availability, concurrent users, performance, durability, and automatic data backups. Without changing existing programs, FairCom RTG enables any modern system and programming language to read and write legacy data simultaneously with legacy applications.
FairCom RTG replaces your COBOL file system with a database server, mapping your COBOL files into data tables for real-time read/write access to your live data through relational and non-relational interfaces.

The FairCom RTG server natively supports all COBOL functionality at high speed. It is invisible to your existing applications and, thus, provides its many benefits without requiring you to rewrite any application code.
You can also create new applications in any programming language and use FairCom's JSON and SQL APIs to read and modify data simultaneously with COBOL applications.
FairCom RTG replaces a COBOL file system with an enterprise-class server that maps all COBOL data files into FairCom's ISAM tables, which support all COBOL opcodes, including REDEFINES and multiple keys.
