FairCom RTG is a modernization solution for COBOL and Btrieve applications. It breathes new life into legacy applications by transparently swapping out the applications' built-in record management system with FairCom’s modern database engine for increased reliability, high availability, concurrent users, performance, durability, and automatic data backups. Without changing existing programs, it enables any modern system and programming language to read and write legacy data simultaneously with legacy applications.
FairCom RTG replaces your COBOL file system with a database server, mapping your COBOL files into data tables for real-time read/write access to your live data through relational and non-relational interfaces.

FairCom RTG

FairCom RTG is a combination of a full COBOL file system with a powerful, dynamic database server that maps all COBOL files into data tables, including support for REDEFINES and multiple keys.
FairCom RTG BTRV supports all Btrieve C API op codes including extended functions for batch and filtering. Large records are handled with blob chunk handling. You only need to relink your existing application to the FairCom RTG driver and gain advanced client-server features for scalability and availability. AES data encryption, data replication, SQL, hot backups, are all now available from your existing application.
FairCom RTG gives you real-time read/write access to your existing data through many different interfaces. With the power of SQL, you can use ADO.NET, JDBC, ODBC, Phyton, PHP and many others to query your data concurrently within live OLTP environments.
You can write modules in modern languages, access data in real-time with BI tools, and stop data corruption.
