Throughout this document, the definition “c-treeVCL/CLX” is used to indicate the c‑tree Plus implementation of the components under Windows or Linux, even though the VCL is a Windows specific library, and CLX a cross-platform (Windows and Linux at the present time) library. Under Windows, the component to be installed is always the Windows version, even if the user intends to work with the CLX library. The Linux version only uses the CLX components (there is no VCL under Linux), and should be installed under Linux only. The c-tree Plus source code is the same for both implementations.
